   RAIL4CHEM is a subsidiary of Veolia Cargo Deutschland GmbH, one of the leading private rail freight companies in Europe, and an innovative service partner for the development of industrial transport processes. The Essen-based company RAIL4CHEM specialises in the trans-European long-distance transport of containers and agricultural products by rail, and employs around 130 people.
In Germany, the Federal Railway Authority stipulates that all fixed installations in locomotives must be inspected and tested. Such testing is expensive and time-consuming. Without this fax equipment, train drivers would have to stop at particular stations when they had to send in changes to schedules or other information.
